What the service is

dvelop.me is a place to write privately, examine what you want, and turn that into a plan you can keep. It is software. It is not advice, and it does not act on your behalf.

It is not therapy

The product does not diagnose anything, does not treat anything, and does not present itself as a clinician or a human coach. If you are in crisis, contact a professional service in your country.

Nothing here is an emergency service and nothing here is monitored by a person.

Your account

You sign in with a username and a password. You can add a passkey as well, and it is worth doing: a passkey cannot be phished and cannot be reused anywhere else. Nothing in the product requires one.

If you forget your password, a reset link goes to the email address on your account. That address is the only way back in, so keep it reachable: if you lose access to it and forget your password, nobody can restore the account, including us.

You are responsible for what happens under your account while you control it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the product to break the law, to attack it or the people using it, or to run automated traffic against it that it was not built for. Do not attempt to reach another person's workspace.

Accounts that do these things are suspended.

Payment

Plans and prices are not decided yet. When they are, this section states what is charged, when, and how to cancel, and the pricing page states the VAT treatment.

A subscription that lapses does not take your writing away. You keep read access and export.

Availability

The product is under development. It will be unavailable at times, and features described on this site arrive when they arrive rather than on a date promised here.

Ending it

You can delete your account from inside the product. It asks for your password as well as a typed confirmation, and then schedules the deletion rather than performing it: for thirty days you can stop it, from inside the product or from the link in the message we send you. After that, deletion removes your writing and the suggestions derived from it, apart from records that have to be kept for a statutory period. Those records are named on the privacy page.

Changes

When these terms change in a way that affects you, the change is described rather than quietly replaced.
